As an introductory episode, Adik sa F delves headfirst into the loaded world of feminism. By questioning the connotation that feminism destroys lives, the episode dissects what it truly entails to be a feminist, what feminism stands for, all the while keeping the conversation grounded in real life. In this episode, the hosts are joined by Bans of Young Feminists Collective, Ham of Mindanao Pride, and Inna of Lunas Collective who share their own feminist journeys with the listeners.
At the heart of the second installment of Chikang Bayi is power. Why are there times when women feel powerless, what does it take to be an “empowered woman” — questions every woman has asked at least once. These hard questions are met with eye-opening truths through the conversation between host Cai Antonio, Joanna Batalang of Candon Youth for Empowerment Movement, and Dr. Nathalie Africa of UP Women’s and Gender Studies.
Springboarding off of the last episode, Chikang Bayi continues to explore the world of female empowerment. The third installment of the podcasts closes in on the concept of feminist politics—wondering whether or not there exists a type of feminist politician. With the input, opinions, and experiences of Councilor Marjorie Martin-Chan of Tuguegarao, listeners are shown that, yes, feminist politicians do exist. The episode You Go, Girl! Kwentong Political Power allows listeners a sneak peek into the beginnings, challenges, and practices of a feminist leader.
Chikang Bayi’s fourth installment dives into reproductive rights and the freedom of women. Together with guests from PINSAN (The Philippine Safe Abortion Advocacy Network), Bing Parcon of Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights, Jihan Jacob of Center for Reproductive Rights, and Kristine Chan of Filipino Freethinkers, the conversation on assertion, autonomy, and abortion is further explored. The episode sheds light on a highly contested topic in the country and the thought processes and opinions of advocates and feminists alike.
EPISODE 4.1: DEAR TIME’S UP ATENEO — HOY MISOGYNY, TIME’S UP!
Co-produced by Time’s Up Ateneo, the first half of the fourth episode Hoy Misogyny, Time’s Up! serves as a reminder to look closely into our own social circles for any misogynistic tendencies. Hosts Jasmine Cruz, Reese Ungson, Julz Riddle, Danna Aduna, and Rem Tan go into the significance of calling out even the subtlest misogynistic and discriminative remarks from our friends.

In celebration of women’s month, the sixth installment of Chikang Bayi puts juanas in the spotlight to recognize and appreciate women’s work in the course of the pandemic. In Juanang Luma-love-an sa Gitna ng Pandemya, our admirable guests Amiel Diaz, a political officer in the diplomatic arena, Lyka Lucena, a licensed social worker and a certified specialist in women and children protection, and Angat Bayi fellow Mayor Trina Fermalo-Fabic, mayor of Odiongan Romblon, together with host Joie Cortina, convey the importance of everyone’s equal responsibility in being compassionate to one another especially during these trying times by sharing their own experiences in care responsibilities at home together with the demanding work circumstances.
