Bayi, Inc. is a non-profit organization furthering women’s participation and transformative feminist leadership through capacity building, research, and advocacy activities. In partnership with the UP Center for Women’s and Gender Studies and UP Center for Women’s Studies Foundation Inc., with the support of the European Union, Bayi is launching the 2024 Young Bayi Political Empowerment Program (YB PEP) for emerging young women leaders in BARMM. The organization recognizes the fundamental value of women’s political participation in achieving women’s empowerment and national development. It ultimately aims to capacitate women leaders to advance feminist leadership, rights-based, democratic & good governance, and feminist peace building.
The goal of the YB PEP is for 20 young women leaders in the BARMM region to develop their Young Bayi leadership roadmap on how to practice transformative feminist leadership in peace building efforts in BARMM. Applicants must value feminist leadership, inclusive and good governance, and the building and protection of democratic institutions and processes within their organization.
