Rafaella Potestades works as a Gender Consultant and is a graduate student of the Master of Arts in Women and Development Program in the University of the Philippines Diliman. Currently, she is part of various gender and development programs such as the Angat Bayi (Uplift Women) Political Empowerment Program and Oxfam’s Sexual Health Empowerment (SHE) Program; and funded research studies and reports on women’s economic empowerment, women-led or owned micro-businesses, women’s participation in decision-making, feminist online spaces, and on the overall gender profile of the Philippines. Her published works and research interests center around language and gender, mainstreaming gender concerns in education, and queer linguistics.
